Fin-Nor flying the flag on New Weymouth Fishing Catamaran.

Tostedt. Zebco Europe is proud to announce their new sponsorship agreement of a new charter boat in conjunction with Weymouth Angling Centre. The boat "MEERKAT" which the catamaran has been named, boasts an exceptional level of quality throughout the vessel and is fully complemented by the finest Fin-Nor sea fishing equipment on-board.

It has been an exciting first quarter for Zebco Europe, which in January 2011 was bought by W.C Bradley. The new relationship has ambitious plans to continue to develop all 6 UK brands, and none more so than Fin-Nor which set new precedents in all levels of quality and performance.

The sponsorship agreement has many benefits for all parties; for Zebco Europe it creates opportunities for sea anglers to experience Fin-Nor products first hand, with the guidance and assistance from Weymouth personnel during charter trips.

"David Gibson", Commodore of Weymouth PBA and owner-skipper of MEERKAT commented "The opportunity to showcase the range of Fin-Nor tackle on board our brand new Charter Catamaran "MEERKAT" is an honour and a privilege, The quality of the Fin-Nor sea fishing tackle is the best I have ever seen and I look forward to the next years of sponsorship knowing that I will have full support not only from the highly professional organisation here in the UK but also the European and US Groups as well, Further details of the Fin-Nor Sponsored "MEERKAT" can be found at

Andy Selby owner of "Weymouth Angling Centre" and three times readers winner of Sea Angling Tackle shop of the year, is fully supporting David Gibson with customers able to buy the range of Fin Nor products in his shop.

European marketing manager Frerk Petersen, supported David comments by adding "with our synergy with Zebco US, we now have the perfect platform to excel a range of Fin-Nor products that with joint ventures such as this, can only help strengthen and increase market awareness of these outstanding products.

The actual history of Fin-Nor goes back to the very early days of big game fishing, when legends such as Ernest Hemingway graced the vast oceans. The first big game reel was machined in 1933, and since this date over 380 world records have been smashed using Fin-Nor products. To date, the largest "Black Marlin" of 1560 pound was caught on camera during the filming of the "Hemingway"s Old Man and the Sea".
