Record Wels Catfish from the small Rhone

Lyon. Régis Fakoury, member of Team Black Cat France has managed to catch a truly giant Catfish at the small Rhone: The fantastic specimen of 2,50m length was weighed at 100kg. Regis needed all his experience from long years of hunting the large predators to land this monster after 45 minutes of hard fight. Although for the last month he had concentrated on fishing sea bass and black bass with spinning techniques and practically had not fished for catfish for the entire season, he eventually only needed one attempt to land this magnificent catch. He enticed the giant with deadbait presented on a bouy rig and tamed his adversary with a Black Cat Buster Rod and Size 80 Fin Nor Sportfisher Reel.
