Anglers Paradise – Lure Weekend November 2017
The format for the weekend is to be a fun social event with an element of competition where anglers no matter their experience can get involved. With 4 teams of 5 anglers and a team captain the task is simple catch as many species of fish as you can during the weekend and have fun doing it.
Despite the rock-hard conditions with persistent rain and cold temperatures all anglers had a brilliant time landing fish, sharing their “big one that got away” stories and really getting stuck in to help their fellow team mates.
Quantum team angler David Watkins-Smith who was one of the team captains had this to say about the weekend “what and outstanding weekend! the team at Anglers Paradise especially Joe and Zenia have really created a special event that brings together the best of lure angling and hospitality. The whole ethos of bringing people together of all skill levels to have a fun filled fishing weekend is at the heart of Quantum and is why we have been delighted to support the event with prizes for the anglers. I really can’t wait until the 2018 lure weekend it is a highlight of my angling calendar”

THE BIGGEST PIKE
Tom Wilson took the Crown for this Category with a respectable 68.5cm Pike from the Specimen Cat Lake, although Nathan Edgell actually caught the Biggest Pike measuring 86cm but as he’s a Team Captain – it doesn’t count!!
Tom was in Team Quantum with Captain David Watkin-Smith leading him to Victory!
Tom won some pretty special prizes from Quantum including a Spinning Rod, a Spinning Reel, a Specialist Bag, a Rod Guard and other goodies – Thank you so much to Quantum for the amazing Prizes
The Runner Up
Lee Paynton who had a Perch and a Pike at a combined length of 92cm, Sponsored by Quantum.

The Blind Team Winners were Damon Braxton, Ben Taylor, Phil Burke and Dion Cook-Martin with 4 Species consisiting of Pike, Trout, Rudd and a Koi**
