My Dream Tench

I was fishing at a big lake (400x600 m), scarcely populated by fish, as my hunting ground I chose a densely overgrown spot with water depths of 2-4 m.

As always I used my "light carp setup" for Big Bream and Tench:

- 3 Browning Hot Rod Commercial Carp rods with Quantum Crypton Heat 840 SRC reels
- 50 gr Method Feeder, 8-10 cm leader, 10 mm Hybrid Magic Marbles and Tutti Frutti Boilies.
-Groundbait:
Big Fish,  Halibut BBQ, sweet corn and 4 mm pellets.

After seven to eight warm summer nights in June I had caught several tench, the biggest one weighing 3.55 kg.
The morning I had landed this so far largest specimen I saw a large fish feeding off the groundbait I had presented, I knew I needed to try one more time in the coming night.

Around 5:30 a.m. I had the anticipated bite and I could feel immediately that it was a big one! The fish I managed to land turned out to be my dream tench of 4,45 kg and 60 cm.

My recipe for success: Fish by night and work by day.
